Combat veterans and Kryptek co-founders Butch Whiting and Josh Cleghorn utilized their experiences from the battlefields of Iraq and Afghanistan to develop a novel approach to camouflage technology and high-performance hunting apparel. Over the course of a year, the U.S. Army conducted a study involving 900 soldiers, testing the time it took them to acquire targets using Kryptek camouflage. The overwhelming results were in Kryptek's favor. As a result, Kryptek's camouflage is now utilized by U.S. Special Operations and coalition forces overseas, as well as elite SWAT and law enforcement organizations domestically.

Kryptek's product line includes the Alaios Pant, Valhalla Pant, Valhalla LS Zip, Valhalla LS Crew, and Valhalla SS Crew. These garments feature a mesh fabric type and are designed for hand washing only. They are either made in the USA or imported.
